In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "V.I.Sergeevich. Antiquities of Russian land tenure" (1901).
As a cardinal defect of his work, I must present the fact that in these studies he limited himself to materials from Novgorod and Moscow, bypassing the Belarusian and Ukrainian of those times.
New publicistic article
In the section "Publicistics" we publish the article "Queued question" (1914).
The idea of the general emancipation of peoples and regions, not only by the mere proclamation of the abolition of oppression, but by the creation of positive forms, did not find any serious response.
New article on history
In the section "Historical works" we publish a review “N. Suvorov. Textbook of Church Law” (1901).
For Old Russian and newer Orthodox canon law, the textbook is especially useful, and we highly recommend it.
New publicistic article
In the section "Publicistics" we publish the article "Sowing of the wind" (1914).
The bans were so reckless, rude, and unpretentious that they affected elements even the most moderate, the calmest, including the Little Russians serving in the city police.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review “M.N. Yasinsky. Lectures on the external history of Russian law” (1901).
As a result, we have a useful textbook that can very well serve to navigate the sources of ancient Russian law.

The list of non-state nationalities is growing – not only in the column of the old regime, but also in the column of liberal centralism.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "Overview of the history of Russian law by prof. M. F. Vladimirsky-Budanov" (1901).
The respected author, as we see, stands on the same inconsistency that the overwhelming majority of Russian researchers still stand on – replacing the concept of the "Russian people" with the concept of the Great Russian nationality.
New publicistic article
In the section "Publicistics" we publish the article "Before the autumn meeting of academic youth" (1913).
It must be stated that the Ukrainian youth as such does not actually exist, it does not feel like a certain force, as an element of public life, it has broken down, scattered into atoms.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "N.P. Zagoskin. History of the law of the Russian people" (1901).
Obviously, the author (perhaps unconsciously) understands the title “History of the law of the Russian people” as the history of the law of the “Great Russian people”.

In the section "Publicistics" we publish the article "On a new path" (1913).
I’m far from seeing in this neglect of national issues the main cause of the defeats and disappointments, but I still considered it as a tactical mistake – sad and in need of correction.

In the section "Historical works" we publist the preface to 3rd vol. of the «Sources for the history of Ukraine-Rus'» (1900).
This volume, which contains lustrations of the lands of Kholm, Belz, and Lviv, concludes the publication of the lustration of kingdom estates in the Rus’ lands from 1564 to 1565.

It is necessary for students to find vitality, activity, social and national energy.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "Index to the first eight volumes of the "Complete collection of Russian chronicles" published by the Archaeographic Commission" (1900).
This edition belongs to the category of those belated that, due to their delay, lose almost all meaning.

It was feared that the ideas of national autonomy and a federal system would threaten the integrity of the state and the danger of "dismemberment of Russia," and would strengthen opposition to plans for its political renewal.

In the beginning there is a popular scientific article about the beginning of Rus’ – interesting as a summary of the author’s views, in some ways fantastic, in some ways interesting and fair.

In the section "Publicistics" we continue publishing the collection "About ukrainian language and ukrainian school" (1912). Today – the article "Foreigners".
An order came out from the Prime Minister that the governors should keep a close eye on the "foreign societies", not allow them to be founded, and which are founded – to close.

The author conjectures that under Domitian the army was withdrawn from the Crimea for a while, and in the middle of the 3rd century the occupation has completely ceased to be.

Stupid chatter that a Ukrainian, without studying, understands everything in Russian, and Russian – in Ukrainian. There are many words in the Ukrainian language that are not in Russian at all.

In the section "Publicistics" we continue publishing the collection "About ukrainian language and ukrainian school" (1912). Today – the article "The language of the lord and the peasant".
It is necessary to teach in Ukrainian so that children understand that science more easily, learn better and easier everything they are taught.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "A. I. Yatsimirsky. New data on the visit of Archbishop Anthony to Constantinople" (1900).
Mr. Yatsimirsky found in Moldova a new complete codex, 15th century, close to the published one, but more serviceable and, judging by the language, close to the original.

In the section "Publicistics" we continue publishing the collection "About ukrainian language and ukrainian school" (1912). Today – the article "Ukrainian and Russian language".
Against the new literary language, which was introduced in Ukraine, and was, as we see from it, not "all-Russian", but literary Great Russian, Ukrainians continue to develop their national language.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "Russian history from ancient times to the Time of Troubles" (1900).
The editor puts pressure on the complete isolation of this Kyiv system and culture from the Suzdal-Moscow state, recognizing that the Suzdal-Moscow state was not at all a new, further phase of the Kyiv one.

In the section "Publicistics" we continue publishing the collection "About ukrainian language and ukrainian school" (1912). Today – the article "Russian Academy of Sciences on the Ukrainian language" (1910).
It admits that the Ukrainian language exists, that this language is separate from Russian, or more correctly – Great Russian. It says that no one invented it, and it exists as eternally as the Great Russian.

In the section "Historical works" we publish a review "G.F. Herzberg. History of Byzantium" (1900).
The translation cannot boast of any particular success; some passages even suggest that the professor was unlikely to translate this way, or at least carefully looked through the translation.

In the section "Publicistics" we continue publishing the collection "About ukrainian language and ukrainian school" (1912). Today – the article "Easter" (1910).
And our language has not died since then, but has developed magnificently, surprisingly loved by love for his dark and poor people, for his native land.

The article about Cyril and Methodius and the Old Bulgarian literature was written by experts and can be very useful for orientation in these matters.
