In the "Historical works" section, we are continue to publish a collection of documents "Materials for the history of socio-political and economic relations of Western Ukraine" (1905). Today – the next 5 documents of the 2nd part, including "105. Drohobych, 1555".
King Sigismund August attaches the church in the city Drohobychi to the country church of St. Yuriy and ensures Senko Terletsky in possession of it, June 7, 1555.

In the section "Publicistics" we publish article "About the Ukrainian monetary unit" (1918).
In my opinion, it would be most convenient if our Ukrainian government could issue the hryvnia in the form of a silver coin equal to one hundred shagas.

Along with the introduction of the new Western European calendar, Ukraine also switches to Central European Time. One thing is connected with the other. Ukraine is resolutely severing the old coercive ties with the Moscow region.

King Zhigimont orders that the peasants of Batjatychy, in the Kamjanla district, were not forced to work for more than a two-day manor and four annual collective harvest labor days, August 11, 1544.

On coins and other objects of the old Kyiv state, we see a beautifully stylized heraldic sign of unclear meaning, something like a trident.

The Ukrainian nationality occupies the first place among the non-state nationalities of Russia, and the first place among the national issues of Russia belongs the Ukrainian question.

But here I had the opportunity to feel that the old ties lost their strength, when my old acquaintances and friends took the places of the old royal ministers!

In the section "Publicistics" we publish article "Academic House" (1904).
Estimated more or less for 120-130 thousand krones, this first Academic House, in addition to social facilities and an academic kitchen, was supposed to provide accommodation for 100 students of higher schools.

The war broke out so unexpectedly that I did not have time to get to Kyiv, so I had to stay in the Carpathians, although it was not very pleasant there.
