We continue publishing the article “From the Beginnings of the Ukrainian Socialist Movement” (1921). Today – the next three chapters, including "The beginning of the radical movement."
Pavlik and Franko set themselves the duty of carrying out the work entrusted to them by Dragomanov: the founding of the Polish-Ukrainian Socialist Party of Galicia.

We publish the encyclopedic article "Cossacks in Ukraine" (1914).
Here we will only indicate the general conditions for the development of the Cossacks in Ukraine, as a domestic phenomenon, and the ways in which they occupy their social and national position.

The ominous prophecies of Dragomanov were fully fulfilled: the Viennese prosecutor’s office confiscated "True Word" and prosecuted its publishers.

Doroshenko Petro, Ukrainian hetman, one of the most famous and popular figures in Ukrainian history. He is considered the grandson of Hetman Mykhailo.

We continue publishing the article “From the Beginnings of the Ukrainian Socialist Movement” (1921). Today – the next three chapters, including "Political freedom or social revolution?".
For all his concessions to "radicalism," Dragomanov still held to the old position that the "task of March" was to gain political freedom and constitutional guarantees.

Doroshenko Mykhailo, Cossack hetman, prominent politician and military leader. The early period of his activities is unknown to us.

Dashkovych Ostafy, a prominent Ukrainian figure of the 16th century, is wrongly glorified by later tradition as the founder and organizer of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the first Cossack hetman.

We are starting to publish the article “From the Beginnings of the Ukrainian Socialist Movement” (1921). Today – the first three chapters, including “Mykola Ziber and Serhiy Podolynskyi.”
In Lviv, Ziber and Podolynskyi found Buchynskyi, to whom they had letters (also to Sushkevych, about one of the leaders of the senior Galician Narodniks).

Hunya Dmytro Tymoshovych, one of the most prominent Cossack leaders of the 17th century, is known primarily as a strategist.

An excerpt from the report of the Moscow embassy sent to Ukraine to accept it as a subject of the Tsar.

We publish the encyclopedic article "Hadyach Union" (1912).
This agreement had almost no practical implementation, but despite its ephemerality, it remains an extremely interesting and important indicator of the aspirations of modern Ukrainian society.

The revolution and liberation of Ukraine, the fall of the Romanovs and the old rule raised questions about the legal nd state nature of Ukraine’s relations with Russia – and therefore about their beginning.

The Ukrainian Scientific Society decided to mark the current anniversary year of Ukrainian cultural life with an attempt at such a publication, in the form of a scientific quarterly.

The title of "all Great and Little Russia," so to speak, was presented to the Moscow Tsar by Ukraine.

We publish the popular historical work "On the Cossack’s Father Bohdan Khmelnytsky" (1909).
Hey, Zaporozhye was glorious in all directions, but there was no one more glorious in it than the Cossack’s father, the glorious Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

We publish the article "The Connection of Ukraine with Muscovy in Modern Literature" (1915).
And now we have Rosenfeld’s book about Ukraine’s annexation to Russia and its position vis-à-vis the empire until the complete abolition of Ukrainian autonomy at the end.

We publish the obituary "In Memory of Fedir Vovk" (19118).
An unfortunate fate snatched him away just when his dream was coming true – to reach Ukraine and serve its cultural revival on the ground.

We publish the article "One of the legends of Khmelnytsky’s wars" (1913).
It can be said that the historiography of Khmelnytsky’s epoch to this day has not managed to break free from the influence of this legend, has not freed itself from its spell.
New article on M. Hrushevsky’s creativity
We publish the article by Myron Kapral and Andriy Felonyuk "When the Guns Spoke, the Muse Clio Was Not Silent" (2009).
M. Hrushevsky’s scientific productivity was influenced by events of the war and revolutionary period, which were independent of the scientist’s will.
New organizational article
We are publishing the article "From the editorial board [of the magazine "Ukraine", 1917, Vol. 1-2]".
The scientific society then decided to continue publishing beyond the sphere of Kyiv censorship, in Moscow, under the title "Ukrainian Scientific Collection".
