We are starting to publish the article "Studies on the Economic History of Ukraine" (1907). Today – the first 3 chapters, including "The old economy of Western Ukraine and its remains in the 16th century."
Wheat farming is conducted mainly for subsistence and in such sizes as to ensure self-sufficiency.

In the section "Publicistics" we publish the article "In the first delegation of the Ukrainian Party of Socialist Revolutionaries (April 1919 – February 1920)" (1920). Today – the last 6 chapters.
Wherever the national movement is fundamentally a creative, gradual force, it must be under the control of gradual forces.

In the "Organizational articles" section, we publish speech at the general meeting of the NTSh on May 12, 1909.
The onslaught of reaction reduced Ukrainian life in Russia to the narrow limits of almost cultural work itself, and even then it was beset with endless obstacles.

We found more sympathy and understanding for the national question in the East of Europe in the "small parties" of the West and in the International Bureau, which relied on them.

We publish obituary "In memory of Volodymyr Antonovych (2)" (1908).
Unusually intense scientific work, together with a difficult life under the eternal Argus eye of supervision, amid the internal struggle of currents and directions in the same community of like-minded people, exhausted his strength early.

We publish the article "To the biography of Metropolitan Onesiphorus Divochka" (1906).
Having no reason to make Onesiphorus a special hero: neither a model Christian nor an ideal bishop, we have no reason to consider him even the worst of the metropolitans.

However, the peace conference sided with Poland. When she had only promises for the Ukrainians that she did not keep, Poland received real help from the Entente states.

Another Ukrainian force, separated from its natural soil by circumstances, on which it could be so valuable and outside of which it contributed so little to the cultural life of its people.

If the important and urgent task of reconciliation and reorganization of Eastern Europe were entrusted to the League of Nations, it would provide it with world influence and all its positive consequences.

Buchynsky ended up in Prague, and I only saw him time to time. Returning to Lviv, he also only occasionally appeared at my lectures and in my seminar.
