Merchants Assembly building (Kyiv, Vladimir descent, 2) was built in 1882.
6 – 8 April 1917 in the building hosted the National Congress, convened by the Ukrainian Central Rada (Council). In Congress participated M. S. Hrushevsky.
May 28 – June 2, 1917 there was held the First All-Ukrainian Congress of Peasants. The chairman of the Central Rada M.Hrushevsky had speaked at conrgess.
Today it houses the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
